The purpose of Alpha Sigma Alpha is to foster close friendships among women and develop women of poise and purpose. Do you think you are a woman of poise and purpose? Then you're in the right place!

Is there a GPA requirement?
All women who want to join ASA must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA and 12 established CNU credits.

How Much Does it Cost?
The Formal Recruitment registration fee for everyone going through formal recruitment is $15. This fee includes t-shirt and refreshments throughout the recruitment process. If you're joining in the fall you do not have to pay this fee.

New Member Dues:
New Member Fee: $100 (allows a woman to be a recognized sister on the role report for Alpha Sigma Alpha, this fee also purchases the new member materials - the Advantage book and other necessary materials)
Initiation Fee: $180 (allows a woman to be an initiated sister into Alpha Sigma Alpha, includes a lifetime subscription to the Phoenix magazine (ASA's publication), and purchases the membership certificate and pin)
Total: $280

Fall and Spring Semester Dues for current members: $300 ( You do not pay this your first semester.)

What other organizations are ASAs part of?
IV (InterVarsity), RHA (Residence Hall Association - RAs, FDAs), Social Work Association, Order of Omega, Panhellenic, Alpha Psi Omega, CNU Tonight, Theater CNU, Newport Pearls (all female accapella group), PLP (President's Leadership Program), Hillel, Peer Advising Club, ICA, Phi Alpha, Honors Program, Alpha Chi, Catholic Campus Ministries, Intramural Sports, Field Hockey Team, Society for Human Resource Management, Direct Marketing Association, Pi Lam Sweetheart, Lambda Pi Eta, CAB (Campus Activities Board), CNU Business Office, University Committee on Student Discipline, Gay-Straight Student Union, East Area Council for Residence Life, Peer Mentoring, Young Democrats, SVEA (Student Virginia Educator's Association), CNU Honor Council, French Club, Psi Chi, and we also have a sister who is the manager and statistician for the women's soccer team
